This guide was written by ROB in response to a question from silver fish, good work ROB

Seeing as I cant post up in the guide section, I will put it here for now.
Recently I changed the heater motor on a pre ford 2.0 v6, but used a motor from a post ford as I had one in a donor car...
Only tool I used was a stumpy Philips screwdriver,

I removed the glovebox for better access but its not needed if your not fat like me
Glove box unclips by sliding it to the left to un hook it from the surround, leaving this.

Then I unclipped the side dash panel by gently pulling on the edge closest to the glovebox

Exposing this where the two screws can be seen,

Then there are three further screws two at the top of the panel and one at the bottom right,

One oppersite, under my finger

And one at the bottom right

Then you need to recline the seat as flat as it goes and lay upside down with your head in the footwell to see the fan and behind it the fan speed module,

Module at the back,

Because I had the parts spare I changed the speed module first as the fan occasionally worked but as expected it was the fan at fault.
Unclipped the wire plugs, removed the recirculation pipe and undone the three screws that held the motor in,

Fan out and compared to the replacement one,

The plugs are different due to fords interference but that was a simple case of crimp on the post ford connector to the pre ford wiring.
Re fit the replacement motor to make sure it works fine and then refit all plastics in reverse to the removal process

hope this helps
