| Post subject: | How to remove Pre-ford mirror covers. |
Does anyone have a how-to for removing the covers from the pre-ford mirrors? I've got some Lantis pre-ford mirrors laying around, but in sparkle green, and want them painted in red, but offcourse in the correct way, not just some tape masking. Cheers |

3 screws where mirror is folded are clear I guess.. Then remove glass, underneath are 3 screws I guess, and one on the very edge where it is folded! But works on electric ones only I think! |

1. The method to de-assembly Pre-ford wing mirror is to remove mirror first. See the plastic locking from rear you need to removed mirror from bottom by press your finger to the mirror on top part to get a certain gap then insert your finger at bottom to un tight the plastic clip. 2. After removal you can see mirror adjustable mechanical 3. Remove 6 screws 4. Remove mirror adjustable mechanical (There is a small steel pin to lock front part and back part of wing mirror cover that need to press when you want to split them) 5. Remove 3 screws at bracket. 6. After that bracket and wing mirror will be two parts. 7. Remove one screw to unsecure wing mirror plastic body. 8. After that plastic cover can be remove to 2 parts 9. Picture of front and back plastic cover When you finish and assembly them back 10. Put front plastic cover to steel bracket, steel bracket will be on top of front plastic cover 11. Put back plastic cover inplace, back plastic cover is on top of steel bracket 12. Put screw back to secure front and back plastic cover From what I understand power folding wing and non power folding wing are using the same case and we can switch them. My picture is non power folding wing. |

Can confirm that the preford covers are the same for both power folding and non power folding and can be swapped between the two
