OK, so yesterday I met with a guy who was selling parts from a mx-3 1.6
Luckily he ended being very helpful and together we got the whole brake assembly out.

I can't tell you how glad I am, i got all the part in, let's say, good condition, rusted but it is only surface deep..

Now I have to buy new brake pads, hoses and a handbrake cable...

I'll be posting pics and info as a go (I have to save some money, but I have made the first step)...

I forgot the good part ... I got all the parts for 90 euro

2. Put on new V6 axle
3. Change hubs
4. Attach brake cables
5. Done

The first task is to get the old lateral link bolts out
Then I will make the parts look like new with a little cleaning, polishing and a drop of paint ...

Will keep you up to date (can be some thine though, dont have enough cash athe the moment)

Yep so did I, with a big hammer

The LL Bolts I found quite a task, took me a while and some skin and O+ too wish I'd sent them to RHRH as he states its really easy

The LL Bolts didn't come out with a big hammer so the previous owner gave me the parts as you see them
Think the bushes do all the problems ... after what I'm seeing here I have a new question - Do new LL bolts come with bushes or not?
I have hard time thinking thy will go out of my ride unharmed ...

when you come to remove them from your car, just cut through them near the hub carrier and then pull them out of the bushes

its the carrier that holds it all tight together - as you wont need the carrier again it wont matter that they're still inside

took me and my dad 2 evenings to do 3
as Stu says - lots of naughty words, lots of WD40 and blood and sweat.....

we'll see how I'll manage ...
another question, do I need new 323f v6 brake hoses, or do I need MX-3 ones?
because the MX-3 seem way too long ...

You defo need - 323F V6 cables.

I bought MX3 ones first and they were actually too short

i think you missunderstod me... I didn't mean the handbrake cabels, but the actual brake hoses... the rubbery things

Well I have MX-3 braided hoses fitted and they seem just fine but F V6 ones will be spot on

ok 10x I don't think that I have any more questions for now

So... I've made some progress ...WD-40, wire brush and spray paint make miracles

But there's a problem the cylinder's rubber gasket on one of the calipers is broken here, take a look ...

Do they sell this kind of gaskets or do I need a new caliper? also you can see what happened when I tried to get it out ... don't know how it is held...

Also the brake cylinder is stuck on that one I think because the rubber was teared it is rusted on the inside... the handbrake leaver is also very hard ti move.

Can I find this kind of gasket, and can I put it back securely? Does anyone know? thanks

It's now a can of WD-40 and a lot of scrubbing with the wire brush and it doesn't help ...

I had the same situation when I changed my rear axle (due to excessive negative camber).

Although with mine the LL bolt got stuck on the LL arm, I spent all day fruitlessly trying to get it out
so I decided to take it to my friendly mechanic.
He spent almost an hour messin about with all the tools his got with BRUTE force to no avail then he used his
air hammer 2 seconds later the bolt is out.
