when you say cam washers . do you mean the seals that go round the bolts on the rocker cover ? i also noted some sealant around parts of the rocker cover do you need this or can i just use the gaskets ?or is it worth puting some round all the cover . as i dont want to do this twice i am changing the cover gaskets as i am getting oil down the plug holes. would this cause a miss fire and hesitation (like its holding back when you floor it and then all of a sudden picks up . or could this b something else i have missed |

I had this problem mate. Really really crap. I had blue smoke exiting from the exhausts aswell (which means it is burning oil with the fuel). The Mazdaman Specialist replaced my valve seals and now it works fine! |

no cam washers are the washers on end of camshafts the bits that make the rough engine sound that v6 engines make. you only put sealer in a couple of places when you put NEW gaskets on. notably in corners by camshaft end caps. check with v6greg on prices on all parts. there is tech bullitin on all this and how to do complete job time given 2.4 hrs i belive. |
