Hi there, after sooo much time. Later I've had some electric problems with the Mazda. Thing is: The radio stays on, unless I connect something to ground, and the powered rear view mirrors don't work. I know it has to do with some ground cable, but has anyone else had this problem before? Where do you recommend me to check first? Cheers, Alex. |

So they are linked somehow. I'd start at the the fuse box and trace the relevant earths, also the earth from the mirror switch. |

Yep, fuse for the radio is not only for the radio! But the strange behaviour points towards bad grounding somewhere.. |

The thing is: I've checked the grounds for the stuff in the wiring that I did modify, and they are all ok. I'll check the fuses though, I didn't even know there was a fuse for the radio or mirrors lol. |

Aighty dudes, it worked. It was the fuse. More than that, I discovered the problem. Turns out that I've bought some multimedia steering buttons that have lights, so I tried to connect the lights to the stock watch, and that blown up the fuse. |
