Could something ( ie: stone ) spun up and hit it while you were travelling?!

Or perhaps it's was damaged before you fitted?!

I'd contact Jetex and explain what's happened........

I used to have one of their Jetex Laser back boxes - and a section of the pipe work split after about two years. I contacted them and they instantly replaced it FOC. My only cost was posting the old part back.
