Hey guys. My Astina (Amy) drinks fuel worse than an alcoholic !!! Is this a common problem or only the SA boys problem ??? Also, the tappets are very noisy on startup, but dissapear a couple of seconds later...
Is there any way to fix the feuling and tappet noise???

the only thing i can think it to change the oil, make sure there is enough oil, and make sure you use the correct thikness oil! As for the name, i've always experiences girls called Amy to be very difficult. But thats just me

Ha ha...
Amy can cause a lot of troubles, but i've also found that Amy can be a lot of fun...(girls called Amy are also quite good... )
I will try the oil thingy.... If that doesn't work I will put in a fuel pressure Regulator and / or chip her... Thanks |

Don't know what motors you got in South Africa? But we in Europe have a BP 1.840ccm motor (114horsepower). If you got more than 120hp serial, i think you have a BP-ZE with VRIS, but not that sharp camshafts and non-EGR, ECU etc., that are used in Japan (135hp)! Hmm sometimes when it's cold and i my car wasn't driven since 3 or more days, well then i've got too that little noise only on startup from that tappets, it disappears in some seconds. And my car doesn't take much oil, i believe about 0.3l or less oil to 1000km with regular driving you know
Okay, if you drive hard and and very fast, your car takes much more, don't know how you are driving, maybe that's the reason. |

Do you mean that I can change the cam shaft and get another 20bhp??!! - Where do I get one of these? Mark |

Sorry for late post, but hadn't so much time. @tannerma2002 No, only changing cam shaft won't give you 20bhp. The other important question, if it fits, i cannot say. @Maz323f It's the Variable Resonance Induction System. EGR is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation. |
