Does anyone know a friendly Mazda dealer that could cross reference MX3 and MX5 parts with the 323F BA to find out what parts will swap over. I'm thinking engine and suspension parts in particular. This could give us a route to buying perfomance bits as well as getting bits from scrappies. Mark |

Hiya, just ordered the Mazda CD offa ebay. If it is anything like the ones I have for land rovers then it should be possible to check part numbers. This would only work if Mazda use the same part no for the same part no matter what it fits. For example on Land Rover the fuel injector is ERR377 if it is for a 3.5V8 in a Defender or a 4.6 Range Rover. I'll let you know when I get them. Or others may have already tried this... Good luck on that!
Hope it has the 323F BA on it very handy if it does - and lists the parts as you hope. Mark |

hiya, got the CD's, they are the US manuals for garages and don't seem to have part numbers - bugga. The images of the mx3 and protege/323 front suspension look almost identical apart for the location method (not point) of the anti-roll bar. Brakes look the same and have same spec. But the brake spec for the mx-5/miata are different. I was also looking for information on the engines and at least the 1.8 DOHC was used in the mk2 mx-5/miata so there are internal parts. The ones I have for the LR are just brilliant for getting parts. For example, I need better brakes. No performance dealer lists the Land Rover 90 but I know that the discs are the same on the ->1986 Range Rover and they do those. Ho hum. I'll keep looking. |
