Hi all, this is my first post to the group, hope someone can help. Any ideas how to get to the electric aerial without totaly dismantling the boot interior. The aerial did work only half heartedly when I bought the car 2 weeks ago but now refuses to retract at all, it makes all the right noises but refuses to make an appearance. 96 1.5 GXi by the way. |

You have to remove the side panel, it is held on by clips so you will have to remove them all, from behind the rear seat as well, not too difficult. |

That previous message was from me, I did not get logged on automatically. It seems to work when it feels to work. I dismantled my boot but I have a LAntis which might be slightly different in that it has platic trays which all clip together. But it is the same side panel. Aerial will be easily accessible once this is removed. |

if it's just the mast that you've bought, unscrew the ring from around the top of the areial, switch the radio on so the aerial goes up (this will push the old mast out) swap the metal collar off the old aerial on tot eh new one, feed the white plastic cable down into the aerial, get someone to switch the radio off and twist the cable around until the motor pulls it in, whem the pole has gone in to the motor refit the metal ring and operate the aerial again. |
