Don't the bearings come seperate from the hubs :?:

No, the bearing and hubs come as an integral unit (at least they do on the rear).

Redbull - I am having one of the rear bearings replaced next week. My local garage has sourced one from a local motor factor - about half the price of the Mazda garage quote. I can get the part number for you next week if you want?

My local motor factor has a Japanese made ZXi front wheel bearing kit for £52.50 + VAT. I think that's for one wheel. The parts are referenced against an actual '98 car registration (mine) so I know they're correct.

Yer, the rear is different, they do come as one unit but on the front you have to remove the driveshaft, remove the hub then press the bearing out of the knuckle

Just bought a wheel bearing for my ZXI - just under £50, got to try fit it soon lol - Mazda wanted £225 inc fitting.

Gogobroom - is that a rear or front bearing? It turns out that contrary to what I thought, I'm unable to find anyone who can supply a rear bearing for my ZXI other than Mazda themselves, who want £157 for the priviledge ( :cry:

)

Does anyone know of any motor factor who can supply a non-Mazda rear bearing/hub assembly??
