I'm in between the 99000 and 108000 mile service and therefore am about to go for the biggy!

Mazda down my way - Kingswood, Aylesbury are talking 500 quid - maybe a bit less as I won't need air filter or plugs! What sort of prices have you guys payed, any other recommendations on mazda dealers?!

V6? If so, that's about what I paid (£480 to be precise) for my equivilant 54k. If it's a 1.5 or 1.8 then it should be about £430-450. All obviously assume that only the routine parts are changed.

I am just on my 60k service and mazda wanted £480 which is extorsion cos every where else i have been (non-mazda) have quoted £300.

Unless you car is less than 3 years or in warrenty old dealer services are a waste of time.

Yea - if you don't plan to sell the car for any real money (where a main-dealer history would help) then yes, independants can do a service a lot cheaper. Once the car is only worth £2000 or less it probably isn't worth it.

Mosts the difference between dealer and non dealer services will be around £500. You will save more than that on non dealer services.
