nice, u planning on a respray? And a bit of constructive criticism....try and straighten the urrr....Drivers side(for you) fog light, looks a bit wonky

Will look good when lowered

How did you clean the engine bay?

Very nice, agree on the fog light ;)

I totally gasped when I saw that first bonnet pic! But new paint looks great! :)

Thanks.
The fog light is already straight by me.
The guy who mounted the fog lights said they have no more ajustment. lol

I cleaned the engine with some engine cleaner product and a "water pression machine" (don't know if thats the name)

Post subject:

Hmmm either a pressure washer(doubt it :S) or a steam cleaner?....I was gonna do it but would be scared to damage the engine

Ahh, just had another look and seems you already sorted the paint problem :p

very tidy under the bonnet mate - apart from your coolant bottle
may i suggest you try the "stu spel fluid bottle cleaning method"

stuartspel wrote:
:laughing6: yes you read it right, the inside of your power steering reservoir, and indeed the out
side too.

Last night on MSN, Steve B asked if I'd ever attempted to do the above. I hadnt but instantly had intentions to, so today I did just that.

Undoing the 10mm bolt securing it then syphoning it empty I released both clips holding the pipes on. The smaller one is odd as once off - it keeps filling up and getting to the top really slowly

Both pipes were then held upright with string to avoid air pockets and leaks. the reservoir was then transfered to the kitchen for clensing. I opted for my trusty nail brush on the outsides, but it didnt do such a good job.....

Image

I then moved onto my tried and tested 'coolant' method by filling it with boiling water and dropping in a dishwasher tablet, whilst submerging it in hot bleachy water

Sparkling results too, after a visit to our lasses hairdryer to ensure the insides contained zero moisture, I refilled it after attaching both pipes - tipping it forwards to expel any air bubbles. Mmmmm clean :love7:
