Did you make the hard pipes yourself? Well i say made I mean had access to longer pipes to cut down? Looks tidier than having lots of couplers

Yes mate, luckily i found some 'scrap' pipe in a convenient storage place somewhere near work

the pipework will be changing again when the inter-cooler goes in but shes runs fine for now.

When your done I really would like a list of the parts used to get it working.

its an Eaton M45 mate. Not completely sure what car it came off but believe its off a merc of some kind :s.

right just a quick update as to where i am with everything, unfortunately without any pics

Basically im working towards getting the new ecu in to the car and then getting it mapped and tuned. Ive spent the last 2-3 weeks studying the Z5 ecu wiring diagrams and have got hold of another ecu. After some help from nathan i think ive got it pretty much sorted. The wiring loom should be here within the next few days so i can start making the patching loom up. The plan is to remove the input plug off the old ecu and wire the new megasquirt wiring loom up to it using only the pins required (obviously following the megasquirt wiring diagrams). This can then be used as a patching loom between the standard ecu loom and the new megasquirt which means i dont have to mess with the standard loom to much and if everything was to go t*ts up then all id have to do is remove the patching loom and plug the std ecu back in. Theres still a way to go but once the ecu is in along side the gauges, then shes good for mapping . God knows what other problems im going to find while its on the RR.Actually cannot wait to get the supercharger running properly

Anyway that's where i am at the minute, just incase people had thought id given up on the project, i definately havent .

and i quick update from work i managed to fit in today. Security plate from in-front of the ECU needed to come out so i took a power drill and got cracking. I wanted to see if the plug off the pre-ford ecu would fit with the plugs off mine and luckily it does

ah thanks dave..... a few people said they couldnt hear the SC coming down the straight? :s got a bit worried lol! should of been easy enough to get some footage of maddy... she wasnt going very fast haha

I saw you removed de AC, is that really necessary? There is no way of plug the SC and keep with AC?

Is the car running fine with oem ecu?

i think its a fair swap old air cos just leak there gas and cost to run if it will fit fit it i say need to poke round my v6 i think

The supercharger bolted on where the air con compressor used to be, so with this setup, no you couldn't keep both. If you could find another way to mount the supercharger, and use a longer belt then yeah you could keep both if you really wanted.

Yeah, that´s what i thought, putting a longer belt and find a place to the SC could keep both, i like the idea of the SC, but i prefer the fresh in the summer lolol i wont trade fresh air for hp :P

I take it you mean, is it worth it becuse of our lack of summer time. Well yes, as Ac is not just for hot days. It Conditions the air thats why its called Air conditioning. Use it in winter with the heat as well as summer with it on cool.

Plus dont forget you'll probably get the same fuel consumptions with the windows open on a hot day

ok i agree prob does i like ac but i love sc so bit biased.. just a great sound
