Hi all,

Want to do something nice for my old BG when she's finally on the road, and thought of an induction kit.

I know the best ones are going to be the K&N or Pipercross kits, but what are the universal ones that crop up on ebay like? I know they are a lot cheaper, but would they be of any use at all, or would I be better sticking to the standard air filter and saving up a bit longer?

An example of the sort of kit I mean is below.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/INDUCTION-KIT-AIR-FILTER-2-3-5-6-RX-8-CX-7-MX-5-323-626_W0QQitemZ350268417222QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item518d9fe4c6

Anyone any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks.[/url]

That big cone filter won't fit, it'll sit against the bodywork, and when it rains water will get on it...

You can make a kit from ebay parts easy enough, but if you just want to stick a filter on the end of what you have, you need something smaller. A foam mushroom type (very cheap), or the K&N (very expensive)

I made this for the GT, all for less than a K&N filter ;)
