Hi folks,

I recently came into possesion of a cream leather interior from a Forest Green ZXi (thanks Andy :thumbright: ), however, cream leather does NOT go very well with 11R car, so I want to recolour it to match the dash, maybe even have the centre panels black for a two tone effect!

Has anyone out there ever done this? Any products anyone would recommend?

Any help/hints/tips gratefully recieved :)

Cheers

Andy

Here in Portugal, we have some online shop's that sell's products for car care and detail and they sell tints for plastics from the interior of the cars and for leather, but I don't know if they sell them to another countries.

Take a look...

For leather:

Plenty to choose from, I ended up going some from a local car upholsterer as I could take in a sample and then matched it (got a rear seat for my Saab 900 off Fleabay but didn't match the fronts)
Cleaned it up and then put 3 coats on via an aerosol, though if you've got a compressor and spray gun it's been argued that this gives a better finish...

You've got the better side though, easier to go darker than lighter and is easy to do and does last, you'd never think it but mine has been like it 4 years now and the leather has cracked as haven't done anything with it but it hasn't come off, plus of course cows mostly come in the same colour lol.

Hear these are supposed to be good: https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/

Mine through the different stages:

I'd second Furniture Clinic - I've bought stuff from them to touch up the black leather in Sundance.

They have tutorial videos as well if I remember correctly.
