Anyone else having problems with deliveries from the Ford Probe Store? I ordered a disc caliper and a couple of break hoses several months ago and they claim that they keep being lost in the post.

Why do we recommend them? Are they really on the level?

Mark is normally sound.seems odd its been a few months.sometimes stuff takes a while as he has to order it in first.see if he has a tracking number for it.be nice and he will help out as best he can.even if it means him raising a complaint to royal mail.he is genuine and a nice guy.he did go on holiday recently though so that may also have put a little delay on things

The last two orders I placed took months to arrive. I ended up cancelling one of them. :(

I've never had a problem. Everything I've ordered has arrived in a few days. On my experiences I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody on value and service :)

I'd recommend him too, I've had a few minor problems with past orders, but they've always been quickly and satisfactorily resolved. Communication is key, contact Mark, he will help. If its the post that a problem then ask for a tracking number or suchlike. I've picked parcels up from courier depots before, and they've been in a right state! People slag off Royal Mail, but in my experience courier companies are far worse.

i got a tracking number the first time now, after asking 4 or 5 times for it, but just for one parcel which was sent out for the second time now and had already arrived (after 3 days!). i ordered in december 2011 and there's still half of the parts missing... i don't get it, on the one hand it's possible to receive a parcel after 3 days, on the other hand there are parcels for which i'm waiting over 6 months now - without any information what's up with them and where they are.
hope to get this sorted soon, whether the parts or a refund.

It's been a bit of a nightmare with some internationals over the last 6 months, loads of things delayed or missing and some UK orders too, when stock is on back order especially. I try to keep as much as I can on the shelf, but a small one man company, serving just a few cars I can't keep it all.

HOWEVER all deliveries UK or International should be quick and simple from now on, I've got brand new contracts to sort this all out and have been very happy with the service received so far.

Some things like CAI are a bit of a pain due to parts sourcing these days. Same with Nology items, Nology UK just don't have the stocks in the UK and then take months to get more.

(F is for Fun is in Sweden so not a simple Royal Mail job, no not everything is tracked, especially on free shipping weekends, etc, but most heavy and expensive are, I already emailed you earlier today. I do not expect you to have to wait many more days for the parts, I'm already on the case, you will be happy shortly).

I'm on a mission to get the service back to the levels seen in the past (I won the Club323F Supplier of the Year for 2010 and 2011 so can't be that bad!).

The cars I supply for are getting rare now, so this is never likely to be a profitable enterprise any longer, but I'd like to be able to offer parts for these cars for as long as possible, so increases in service will help to do that, but I also need support from you guys in ordering stuff, especially simple things like service kits, that are ALWAYS in stock, etc. I only started this as I love the cars remember, it's not a big money spinner, I make very little.

The sad thing is that these cars are getting pretty old now, so where once good quality parts were easy to come by, I'd say in the last 2 years alone, half of the companies I work with have stopped production of key parts.

Any outstanding issues that you think I might not be already working on, please PM me.

I too would recommend Roc; I think that a few people have had bad experiences, and these can easily tarnish a good name (as a small business owner, I know this all too well!).
Those who have had a bad experience, please look past this!

Roc, I hope that you are able to continue to supply decent parts, at a competitive price for some time to come :thumbleft:

i got to mention,
one should even distinguish between probestore and mail service/suppliers as i think the bad experiences related to the waiting times are mostly caused by the mail service or the suppliers and not by Mark himself.

Which is why I changed them recently, to much improved results.

I hope too, need the support of you guys though, as 323 parts make up around 70% of sales these days.

I have now received the parts. The parts were correct and worked fine on delivery, installation was no problem.

I hope his supplier problems are solved, because, other than that I would have been satisfied, the price was more than fair. The car is after all 18 years old so parts may be a bit more difficult to come by.

I've ordered a fair few bits over the years and I don't think I've ever had a problem. On occasions Mark went out his way to help me identify parts (CV joints) even though he didn't have them in stock and knew I'd be buying them from elsewhere. Genuinely helpful and it was much appreciated. I'd order again without hesitation to be honest.

I have to say that I have used Mark and FPS extensively, even chamnged orders in mid process, and yes there may have been the odd small item that got lost in the post, but I know that was the post as it was the same for other items of post from different sources.

I have only had an excellent service that I will recommend with absolute confidence.

This comment will be probably erased again and I'll get banned again even though everything is true as Mark must be a friend but it might help someone... Remember everything is true, I can prove it. The purpose of this post is not to be spiteful but to tell you my experience.

- I've ordered twice in 2009 and it went down well. I was very happy. Everything good

- In 2011 I've ordered a pipe (a scorpio) which I waited for 6 month. It didn't arrive so I ordered another one in exchange in october (notice that I'm patient). A more expensive one, the Remus which is still in his catalog but for a reason I ignore I wasn't allowed to receive it ever, only to pay for it in october 2011.

Finally 3 month ago after numerous emails telling me it would arrive and my ford dying on me I asked for a refund but as it didn't happen and as Mark didn't seem to want to do it. I offered him to do it in two times which he agreed on 3 weeks ago since then no news at all.

Conclusion :
I'm still down with 376,99£ a year after my order (which was already a replacement for another pipe that had never arrived) and no, it hasn't been sorted since I still haven't got anything from him not even the first half of my money. :doubt: It will only be sorted when the money will be on my account.

Think what you want, that's my experience, all the facts are accurate and true. Paid for something a year ago and ended up with empty hands and empty pockets.
My first two orders were great but for the past two years I've only been waiting. I can prove it if someone is interested in knowing the all saga.

Now, I sincerely hope that Mark will pay me back my 376,99£ and that I'll be able to come back here to tell you that it's truly sorted and that the probe store is definitely reliable or at list straight but this is my situation with that shop at this very day and I'm everything but happy about it. :? Would you be guys ? :(

I'm not writing this to be nasty or spiteful to Mark as he's always been polite but there is a big whole in my pocket and two years of waiting behind me. I think that I'm kind of untitled to be unhappy and write it on this board, ain't I ? :?:

Hello Club323F,

I am a MX6 owner from Slovakia. Over the past years I ordered several items from probestore and my "customer experience" was positive. In Aug 2012 I decided to overhaul my engine and ordered a set of piston rings from Mark. As it was marked as "Special order, please allow extra time..." I was prepared to wait a "little bit" longer. After weeks when tried to get some update, Mark replied "Still on back order, should come soon"...After 2 or 3 months I decided to cancel my order as it was leading to nowhere. Since then I am still waiting for a refund, remindering myself every few weeks. The answers I get are annoying: "Will sort this out shortly...", "Moving my office, will do this next week", "My paypal account doesn´t work currently..."

Still waiting for my 85 GBP. Will never purchase there again.

Just be warned and informed about the services Mark is providing.

Cheers,
Andy

Hello.

My recommendation is to not buy into that website, my first order was satisfactory three years ago but I did my second order three months ago. (I bought brake pads) and I'm still waiting...

I will report it through ECC-Net (European Consumer Centre).

I try to refound my money but Mr.Mark have every day a lot of "problems".

I am in Australia and purchased parts early November. Parts never arrived and had many promises of reship but they were never fulfilled. Last promise was two weeks ago. Is this guy incompetent or a con man?

As always I placed an order and received it within the described time frame of 5 days. Everything was fine, all the parts fit perfect exactly as ordered. When I e-mailed mark he responded within 24 hours everytime. I have been using him for 5 years and never a problem. Communication is the key. I expect its the same as me running a pub. If someone just spouts off about an issue in public before being reasonable and contacting the supplier on a personal basis in a calm and polite manner then it would put my back up a bit.

Thanks

Craig has had the order shipped twice, as he says he's in Australia....takes a time sometimes. Both times shipped, have receipts as usual. His shipping code is RJ272830113GB

Complaints on mail seem to come mainly from long distances with Royal Mail and eastern europe.

I'm now tracking all orders over 1kg, to stop this kind of mail loss business, be it real loss, or pretend loss for refunds, it's damaging and I've had enough, so virtually everything aside from cheap and light things will be tracked, this has been the case since the beginning of the month. I'm fronting the costs. All free email services have been unblocked, as so many people still seem to use them dispite the tons of chaff they churn out, this should stop the 'he doesnt answer' business.

I send dozens of orders to members weekly, this morning alone four emails from regular customers commenting on the speed and quality. This is a hobby, to support cars I enjoy, it's not a job, I do other work to pay the bills, there is no 'con' here, just the enjoyment I get supplying for these cars, good items and a good price. I have 6500 customers registered, there is bound to be the odd issue, and as this thread and the other FPS thread on here are found on google, it attracts people here to complain.

Anyone who has something to say or an issue, drop me a PM first, before shouting, we can sort it out easily.

Anyhow it's the 8th birthday of the store today, and that coincides with my birthday too, so I'm not going to let this get me down, as all issues can be sorted in the proper manner :-D

 It sounds like you think that this dude has chosen to take this grievance to a public forum as an initial contact attempt before attempting to sort it out by emailing or whatever. It doesn't sound that way to me. His claim to have received "many promises" implies to me that he's tried this but for one reason or another this has failed. Being down-right rude to the guy just because we like Roc is not on. I'm another who has only positive things to say about Mark and I've never had a bad experience. Everyone on this forum knows he's not a conman and many of us couldn't have kept our cars on the road without him but again Craig doesn't know that. For all he knows he's been bumped. He's come to a forum to find out more. It's why I and most others would have done in the same situation.

Never had any problem with him not delivering, only nology stuff took ages but I hear that is quite common.

Just put out an order for my KLZE incl timing belt and complete brake kit and some other stuff. About 430 euro's sent his way, I hope this will show some of the confidence I have in him :)
