As from today, new members and non-Gold members of the forum will no longer be able to have signatures at the bottom of their posts.

This means that existing members with signatures will have them removed, and new members won't be able to add one via resrtictions set up by Admin. This includes picture signatures, and text only.

Avatar permissions are unaffected by this.

Gold members permissions re signatures will remain as they are.

For your info, our maximum size limits are:
avatars = 170*170 pixels
sigs = 800*100 pixels

For help regarding uploading images for both:
viewtopic.php?t=34507

Thanks :thumbleft:

I know it's none of my business, but thousands of posts, and being here for 4 years, why would not not want to be a gold member? Surely it's well worth it?

Agreed, this forum has saved me a lot of money over the years on maintenance (and cost me a lot more in mods!) and I'm grateful. The couple of quid for gold membership seems pretty reasonable to me! :thumbleft:

How do you make a picture small enough to use as an avatar? tried editing the pic but had no luck (Marines are more like monkeys when it comes to computers)

I'm a Goldie but can't seem to place a picture in my signature. Am I doing something wrong? I am using the [.img]url[./img] (without the dots).

I've used Irfanview for years. It's free, and it's massively popular. A google search will take you to the home page.
