Hi gang,

I'm currently working on an adapter pcb, for using the automatic climate control (JDM), which was available mainly in Japan, in the EDM 323 * BA models.

My main question is, would there be any demand for that, beside myself :D ? If there is no demand, I would simplify the layout  and it will be much cheaper for me because 2...3 pcb could be added to orders from my company. 5...10 units would make sense to order directly.

The plan is at the moment:

- Layouting the PCB.
- The original wiring loom will be used, no cuts or changes in wiring!
- Having some Auto A/C units in stock (done)
- Having some of the needed sensors in stock (done)
- Getting the connectors needed (30% done)
- Putting options to the PCB (have some ideas, open for ideas)
- Integrating option switches on the PCB (LHD / RHD, there are some differences)

So I would be able to offer complete modding sets. In order to simplify the design I could integrate some of the sensors directly to the board. Installing all the items will still need some work. This will be not a rookee item :-]

And at last: This will not be a cheap project, it's only for real enthusiasts. The auto A/C units sell usually for ~50 Euros + shipping/customs. The needed sensors / electronic parts and connectors can be found in Europe. I estimate 100 Euros for sensors, wiring and the adapter board (and a bit for my efforts). So in total it will land at 200...250 Euros.

Input? Thoughts? Ideas?

Just to be sure, I'm talking about making this work without wiring harness hassles:

It will also work without A/C in any BA with electronic control heater.
