further information about what is called above "Serial Number"

the first number 0 doesn't mean nothing

the second number is 0 if your car was made in the Hiroshima plant and 1 if your car was made in the Hofu plant
(mine was made in Hofu)

the last 6 numbers tell you what production year your car is
from 000.001 to 300.000 was made in 1994 and it's a pre-ford model
from 300.001 to 500.000 was made in 1995 and it's a hybrid model (some pre and some post ford parts like mine)
from 500.001 to 700.000 was made in 1996 and it's a post-ford model

now go check your VINs ;)

Both 2002 model Bj sports
Anyone else with a sport will probably have the same letter "S" in the chasis number
Cant find anything anywhere about it ?
Id guess the above list woukld say

S= 2.0 inj petrol (Bj series)

As there is nothing for the 2.0 on that list ?
